Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life : How to Use Feng Shui to Get Love, Money, Respect and Happiness.

Yes, that’s the full title of this book, and it is what can happen if you follow the author’s advice.

When someone is new to Feng Shui, I recommend this book.

When someone is going to buy only one book about Feng Shui, I still recommend this book.

This is my favorite Feng Shui book among all the books that I own.  (That’s a lot of books.)  In fact, if I could criticize anything about it, I’d say that it makes Feng Shui too easy.

What’s wrong with that? Well, Feng Shui is very potent. If you change too much, too soon, the results can be overwhelming.

If you don’t keep balance in your environment, your life can seem out-of-control and somewhat askew for awhile. Oh, eventually, it’ll settle down and you’ll be very pleased with what’s changed, but the “growing pains” can be harsh.

So, although I rave about this book, and own two copies–one’s a loaner for friends–I warn people to take it slowly.

In other words, don’t do a major overhaul of your Money corner just because that’s the first big chapter. If you make huge changes in that area while the rest of your home is a mess, you’re asking for trouble. Instead, just do a little.

Ms. Carter’s book “cuts to the chase” in terms of the most powerful tools in Feng Shui. But, this is a big tool to hand someone who hasn’t yet learned about balance, and the huge importance of yin and yang in this practice.

It’s a great book. I highly recommend it. But… use moderation.  A little Feng Shui goes a long way.  Do not overdo it!

Here’s exactly how to use this book for the best results:

  1. Read the introduction at the start of the book.
  2. Choose just one chapter to work on.
  3. In that chapter, apply just one principle.
  4. Stop for a few days.
  5. Then, try something else, and then stop again. And so on.

Does Feng Shui really work?  If you move your stuff, will it really change your life? Try Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life and see for yourself. You may be very pleasantly surprised.

If you can only buy one Feng Shui book, this should be the one.
